Georgia is one of the most visited areas in United States of America. This is because of the many events that local and international tourists can engage in. One thing to note about the events in Georgia is that they are available throughout the year; hence one cannot miss to attend an event. Here are some of the selected events in various months that one can attend.
In January, there is the Discover the Music around you event held on January 2nd in Atlanta. This event is hosted by Loopt. As from January 13th to February 28, there is an event where participants are taught how to make their own natural products. The lessons are free of charge though participants have to pay around $5 or more for the supplies. As from march 18th to 27th, the Georgia international Cherry blossom festival is held. At this event, participants enjoy congenial southern hospitality and celebrate in style the awesome beauty of 300,000 flowering Yoshino cherry trees. This gives participants an opportunity to learn more about the Cherry Blossom capital renowned in the entire world. There is also the Ray city old fashion plow day on the 19th of March. This event is held in Ray city and includes horse and mule plowing, craft vendors, arts and so on. The annual thunder in the valley air show is held from March 19th to march 20th. There are other events in the month of March such as the savannah music festival held as from march 25th to April 9th, fire ant festival among others.
There are several events that are held in the month of April. From 1st to 2nd of this month, the magical gardens of Mauldin are held in Clarkesville. These events witnesses’ participants adorn dragon breath and fairy dust as they explore this hidden village. One can engage in dragon hunt with the aim of finding magical creatures. From April 15th to 17th, there is the Atlanta dogwood festival. This is indeed the event that one needs to attend in the spring. The semi annual mossy creek barnyard festival is held from April 23th to 24th. This is said to be one of the top 20 events in Southeast. This event is among north Americas top 100 and it has been voted as the favorite arts and crafts festival in this region. In this event, one can see nationally acclaimed craftsmen, artists, entertainers among others. Other events in April include annual Inman park spring festival fair held from April 30th to May 1st and Georgia State fair held from April 30th to May 8th.
There are events held in May and June respectively in Georgia. These events are a must see for visitors who intend to tour this state. Some of these events include north Georgia Ag Fair held from may13 to 16 in Dalton. There is the canton festival of the arts held from May 21 to 22 in canton and is suitable for children’s art experience. In June, there is Blairsville Scottish festival held from 11th to 12th while in July from 20th to 30th, there is Georgia Mountain fair held in Hiawassee.
